Three services. Each one scoped, priced, and delivered in full.
Tidewell offers three specific types of data strategy work — no variations, no add-ons, no dependency on procurement of further services. Each is designed to produce something useful on its own.
Back to HomeHow we approach all three services.
Scope agreement
Before any work begins, we confirm the scope in writing. What we will produce, by when, and what access or information is required from the client side.
Focused inquiry
We ask for what we need — interviews, documents, system access — and nothing more. We do not request access to production systems unless specifically agreed and necessary.
Draft and review
A draft document is shared before the final version. Clients can correct factual errors and clarify points; our assessment language stays as written.
Final delivery
The final document is delivered on the agreed date. For sounding-board sessions, written notes are sent within 24 hours of each call.
Data Inventory & Definitions
A four-week assignment to produce a written inventory of the company's main data assets, including source system, owner, refresh cadence and current uses. The output is a single readable document with a one-page summary at the front and a detailed register at the back.
Designed for organisations that have grown faster than their documentation — where critical knowledge about data systems is held in people's heads, inconsistently shared, and at risk of being lost when staff move on.
What is included
- Up to 15 data asset entries in the register
- Source system identification and documentation
- Data owner and refresh cadence per asset
- Current documented uses of each asset
- One-page executive summary at the front
- Draft review session before final document

S$220Data Strategy Outline
A two-week assignment producing a one-page data strategy outline for a leadership team. Covers the small set of decisions that the company wants data to support, the supporting capabilities required, and an honest note about what is currently weak. Output is a single document, not a deck.
This service is useful when a leadership team needs to communicate data direction internally — to a board, to a new hire, or to a function being asked to build data capability — but does not yet have a clear, concise statement of what data is actually for in this organisation.
What is included
- Identification of 3–5 decisions data should support
- Required capability mapping for each decision
- Honest gap note — what is currently weak or missing
- One-page output, written for leadership readability
- Draft review before final version

Data Lead Sounding-Board
A monthly arrangement for data leads and analytics heads who want a quiet outside view on direction, sequencing, and the internal politics of data work. Includes two scheduled calls per month, written notes, and discreet review of any artefacts the lead chooses to share before each call.
This is not management consulting or coaching. It is a structured thinking arrangement for someone who carries strategic data responsibility and would benefit from an external perspective that has seen similar territory before.
What is included
- Two 60-minute calls per month, scheduled in advance
- Written notes from each call, sent within 24 hours
- Discreet pre-call review of artefacts (decks, documents, proposals)
- Confidential — separate NDA where preferred
- Rolling monthly arrangement — no fixed minimum term

Standards that apply across all services.
PDPA awareness
All work is conducted with awareness of Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act. We do not collect or process client personal data beyond what is necessary to deliver the agreed service.
Mutual NDA as standard
A mutual non-disclosure agreement is standard for project engagements. For sounding-board arrangements, we operate under confidentiality as a working principle regardless of formal agreement status.
Scope integrity
Scope changes require discussion and written confirmation. We do not expand work unilaterally or without agreement on the additional cost and timeline impact.
Written over verbal
Significant decisions, scope changes, and key findings are confirmed in writing. Notes from calls are sent in written form within 24 hours.
Honest assessments
Our documents include what is weak and what is missing, not only what the client organisation does well. This standard applies even when the honest note is uncomfortable.
No dependency design
Each service is designed to produce value on its own. We do not structure engagements to require further purchases. If you receive the Data Strategy Outline and need nothing else, that is the right outcome.
Clear pricing for each service.
